The remainder up to a total volume of 15 m³ falls on the conical part at the bottom, which provides an excellent drop for unhindered emptying by gravity.
For materials like dry sawdust (average bulk density around 150 – 200 kg/m³), this silo can hold between 9 and 12 tons of material.
In the case of wheat or corn storage (where the bulk density is much higher, about 750 – 800 kg/m³), the maximum capacity by weight is about 45 to 48 tons, provided that the structure is statically calculated and strengthened for such pressures.

Thanks to the area of ​​9 square meters, the flat part of the silo holds 45 cubic meters. In addition, the lower slope provides another 15 cubic meters of space. Therefore, this funnel guarantees a quick and complete emptying of the system. It also has a radio-frequency level indicator, which serves as a sensor for signaling the filling of the silo. This sensor is domestically produced and operates on a voltage of 24V dc (direct current) and has an output relay with a normally open contact (NO). It is installed on the wall of the silo to register when the material (such as sawdust or grain) reaches its height. This technical detail is extremely important for customers because it enables the automation of the system.

Internal stability and robustness

First of all, the structure has an internal system of steel tensioners. These reinforcements successfully prevent expansion of sheet metal walls under load. Consequently, the silo is completely safe for storing heavier materials. For example, it is ideal for wheat, corn or wood pellets. Of course, the system also perfectly accepts lighter dry sawdust.
