Wide Belt sander
Wide Belt sander – calibrator is a sanding machine with broadband sandpaper. The wide belt sander is one of the very special, individual machines in wood processing. The combination of motor and equipment must be selected to suit the different processing requirements.
For those who process wood panels, in large quantities, so they want a uniform appearance of the product, the calibrator is the right choice. The wood to be glued may have uneven joints after leaving the gluing press. They must be even before processing. Laminate often has surface irregularities, so they become problematic after varnishing. Leveling is achieved by grinding with a calibration-grinding roller. There are differences in sanding solid wood (steel grinding roller) and plywood or fiber panels (solid rubber rollers).
two or three sanding units are often used, where in case the removal of sawdust for solid wood exceeds one millimeter, the first work unit should be a planing unit, while the next work units are for fine sanding.
